Did you really surprised?
I personally think they were even late to open an hotel which is run by robots! So they have opened such hotel which is located in a special theme park in Nagasaki area.
Hotel name ise Hen-na which literally translates “Weird” from Japanese. Hotel has a concept of maximum efficiency and environmental friendly comfortable stay. They have really good points about that but none of them beats the fact that their main stuff are robots.
Yes, I mean humonoid android robots greeting you at the lobby to do your check in. (though you might be tempted to use T-rex next to this lovely lady to do your check in…) so basically making cute faces to get a better view room with no charge is out of question. 
Main area is not the only place run by robots, you need to leave your baggege to pick up later for example please be a guest of this robotic arm, and also after your check in your baggages will be carried to your room by these robots as well.
