A holiday in USA meant choking down one calorie full food and then another for me and my breakfasts there weren’t exceptions.
Of course many places offered healt choices like ” eggs made from whites only” I only looked and them and ” A day may come when I order white only eggs but today is not that day” and continued to order food which I could feel closing my veins with cholestrol with each bite.
If you wonder why obesity is a problem in USA let me give you a glimpse of possible choices you can make in your first meal of the day.
First of all you can order your eggs with bacons, extra bacons, extra extra bacons, cheese, beefs, meat and extra of all of these things. And yes plate sizes are big enough to satisfy your eyes first but like me if you spend more than two weeks there, you can start to finish your plates which you couldn’t on your first meal in USA.
Pancakes are a good option, though more like a side dish of breakfast. Of course there are many many choices you can make for your pancake toppings in terms of sugar and crema intake. Also if you happen to come by try red velvet oancakes or cupcakes for that matter.
Most of the breakfast plates comes with potatoes and they ask you how you want it. One of the most popular choice is hashbrown which is fried thin potates and they are delicious.
Coffee and orange juice are popular drinks though like me if you prefer you can find tea in most places.
