Good or bad 2015 was a year of “change” and “first time”s for me. Looking back to it, I pleasantly notice it is full of travelling activities. Not only it is the year I broke my personal most countries visited in a year record (for now ;)), it is also the year I participated in my second photography exhibition and I accompanied G20 Girls to their visit to Topkapı, I was chosen as one of the board members of the Turkey Traveller’s Club etc..
So I want to share some of the relevant news with you as a 2015 summary!
I started guest blogging in Jolly tur blog, Gezimanya and Gezi.com , last one also has English versions but don’t worry I put the articles in my blog as well 😉 Also I’ll be one of the authors of a Turkish book featuring unforgettable travelling memories soon to be published! But even though it seems like I do lots of writing, and in fact I do, still I2m behind on catching up my travels this year! Promise you though, all will be added 🙂
But I did really travelled this year!
First of all, I kick started the year in January with two trips, one to China, and second to Scotland! In April, I again went to China and then on a program that expands to May, I visited South Korea and Hong Kong. In September I visited Northern Europe combining a power trip to Denmark–Norway and Sweden. In October I went to Malta, and in November I went to Greece. I end my 2015 trips with one final trip to Germany and France.
Of course since I had a trip every month from September to December, I heard “Where did you get the money?” , “How do you travel so much?” questions even more this year. But frankly except Northern Europe trip, they didn’t create huge holes in my budget and frankly didn’t take much time. But as for the Northern Europe, anyone telling you it’s expensive, they are lying. It’s very very expensive! But I had to visit them 🙂
I’ve been to Greece, Germany and France before but this time I went to cities I haven’t been and they were all beautiful visits I will remember very fondly. I always say, as I travel more, places I want to go doesn’t decrease instead it increase even more!..
So summary is I have been to 8 new countries, more than 15 new cities and 3 countries revisited in 2015. Well then, what about 2016? Will I travel even more?
Of course 🙂 I already planned a trip in March to Sarejevo and Belgrade and another trip in May to Bruksel and Brugge. (According to social media posts apparently I’m the only one who hasn’t seen Brügge yet :))
That’s it for now! I welcome 2016, and I hope it will be a year which we remind with good feelings full of happy mornings in new destinations! Let me know where you plan to go in 2016 in the comments 😉
