Belgrade night life is one of the most popular search words in Google despite city has many other things to offer! But still it is indeed very lively place especially in night time.
You can find many good alternatives and prices are really cheap (compared to most of the Europe and USA.) So this is one of the charms and reasons the city gets many tourists on weekends.
Well you can always tell if an European city has “night life” if the city doesn’t seem dead after “8 pm” and restaurants still accept customers after 22:00! Obviously in a city like this clubs will be opened till morning!
Since you have many alternatives this means you have to choose carefully considering what you are looking for. Actually it would be good idea to check popular places programs on the dates you will be there so you can make better choices because they sometimes have really nice live performances and famous DJs.
But for those of you who are impatient and just want me to tell you the best place for “hunting” it would be “Mr.Stefan Braun’. Notorious enough this place is one of the go to places in Belgrade if you have the intention to combine flirting with Belgrade night life entertainment. But nevertheless you will be surprised to find out that they have good cocktails too!
If you happen to be there in summer time, you should try one of the boat night clubs where it is actually on the water called “splavoi”. Well you will also find many clubs near river side too. Plastive and Dragstore are two famous ones among these.
By the way because of the words “ Belgrade night life ” I immediately start talking about clubs but actually they also have Greek tavern style Balkan taverns where you enjoy live Balkan music and good food through the evening. Many nice restaurants in Skadarlija Street would be nice choice for this. Actually the Dve Jelena also has a bar on upstairs once you are done with your Balkan style entertainment.
Also if you are into casinos, it is legal in Belgrade so those maybe a night out option as well. However I’m not into casinos and frankly it wasn’t in my Belgrade priorities list so I can’t suggest you one 🙂
One thing to note they have a local strong alcoholic drink called rakıja. You may be offered as a service gift after your meal or in the club but in any case if your alcohol tolerance is low don’t try 🙂 Seriously it will trash your mouth and nose and face especially if you try to shot it!
